Q. What is your background?

A. I have been a photographer for over twenty years, a good portion of the time working as a full-time commercial, portrait and wedding photographer. Additionally, I have written articles on photgraphy and the business of photographer for several magazines. I've also lectured and taught seminars on photography.

Q. Who have you studied with?

A. I've taken classes with some of the biggest names in wedding and portrait photography; such as, Monte Zucker, Denis Reggie and Ed Pierce among others. I've also studied with Dean Collins and Fred Picker. There have been numerous seminars by leading companies; such as, Hasselblad Cameras, Eastman Kodak and Fuji Film.

 

Q. Where have you exhibited?

A. Works has been exhibited in such gallerys as: The Target Gallery at the Torpedo Factory, the Ellipse, the Capitol Hill Art League, Del Ray Artisans, Reston League of Artists, Merriam Art Galley, the Delaplane Visual Arts Center. Awards have been received for numerous works including Best in Show as well as several 1sts, 2nds and Honorable Mention. I have been published in 2 calendars, been featured in a trade publication and have had many works used by the press.

Q. What type equipment do you use?

A. Everything from vintage 5"x7" view cameras to 35mm film cameras to Polaroid to digital. I am working on a series with plastic toy Holga cameras which give an other worldly view of commonplace objects.

 

Q. Do you sell or license your images?

A. Yes, I sell traditional prints as well as license work for web and paper publication. E-mail me for details or if you have any other questions.
